T20 Cricket Carnival

On Thursday 15 March Chidlow Primary School students were invited to attend the T20 Cricket Carnival.  Everyone kept their heads high and really got involved and enjoyed themselves. I had a chat to each umpire after each game and the umpires were really happy with the attitude of the Chidlow students.

The boys team were placed in a tough pool against year 6 teams. They managed to come 8 out of 12 schools. We hope to do better next year as most of our team was year 5.

The mixed team won 2 out of 4 of their games in total and the 2 that they lost we only lost by a few runs (less than 10) which is just 2  wickets. Really good effort had by all.

It was really good to see the kids who were sitting out during the games, still watching the games and supporting their fellow students. I couldn’t have been prouder of how they were today.
